Mme
Corinne De Brouwer
began her career as a breeder in 1983, when the first litter of
”de la Chaume du Bois Dieu”was
born by Samson x Olympe du Terror de Brocailles. Her very first own brood
bitch, Fr Ch Uskene came from this litter. Uskene again is the mother of
Bambou, one of her most important brood bitches and the foundation of her
breeding. As a breeder Corinne de Brouwer thinks highly of all the
specimens which she has used for breeding, but if she has to mention a
couple of special dogs, then
those will be her fawn bitches
Bambou
de la Chaume du Bois Dieu
and Just For Fun des Pitr´Engoele.
Corinne de Brouwer breeds both black and fawn Briards, 1-3 litters yearly.
Mme
De Brouwer has judged Briards at specialties since 1997. As a judge she
focuses on qualities typical for the breed, especially movement, coat
quality, balanced construction and for the Briard typically vivid and
alert character. She is the president of ABB´s breeding commission and
active in organizing the annual event, the National d´Elévage.
M.
Jacques De Brouwer
will judge for the very first time in Finland. His first litter was born
under the prefix ”de l´Cince a
Mougu´s” in 1977 and since that he has bred almost 460 puppies. His
most important brood bitch was the black Troll
de la Porte de Choisy. At the moment he has no breeding of his own,
all litters are born under the prefix of his wife.
M.
Jacques De Brouwer has as well judged Briards since 1997. He wants to
emphasize that he is not looking for show stars when judging. Instead, he
is looking for individuals that are important for breeding purposes.
Corinne
and Jacques De Brouwer have judged specialties besides France also in
Belgium, Germany, Austria, Denmark, the Netherlands, Italy, Luxembourg and
Canada. They are both very pleased to be invited to the first selectionné
event in Finland. They will explain the reasons for their judging as
precisely as possible. They also look forward to an active participation
in the event, because it is always useful and pleasant to exchange views
and to meet Briard owners and breeders, and of course new representatives
of the breed!
